indo, day 5Listening to: Ira Maya Sopha - Mengapa Ada Cinta
My goodness the heat is sooo killing me. So are the malls. So are the people. Can hardly believe just three years ago all this was the norm. This was life.
I've got a new addition to my fave movie list! If you're in Indo go see Quickie Express! It's about a guy, Jojo, who works at a male escort service disguised as a pizza parlor. He's booked exclusively by a middle-aged woman and unbeknownst to him his love interest is his client's daughter. When the woman's husband (and the girl's father), Jan, finds out about the double affair, Jojo thinks he's in hot water because the man is a feared mafia. But not that kind of hot water. Jan turns out to be homosexual and wants to keep Jojo to himself. How's that for a plot?
Quickie Express is a tribute to Warkop movies which were hugely popular in the '80s for its adult humor, which explains the movie's '80s mise-en-scene. No it's not set in the decade, it just gives you the feeling of watching an '80s film.

life is random and so am iListening to: Nothing
Caleb Matafeo! I don't remember how I was when you were born but I know now that by the time you arrived in the world I was done with my potty training! Mum said when I was a year old and six months I would tell my gran I wanted to urinate or defecate and she'd help me climb to the toilet. Hahahahaha. How random!
My mum said I was precocious in a lot of ways. I think I was. My memory started functioning when I was two years old and six months, exactly at the dork's birth. When I was five, while kids my age bopped their heads to popular local children's musical acts like Melissa and Poppy & Maggie, I raced home so I could watch Debbie Gibson on video. At eight, I'd rather read Femina and Dewi but read Bobo anyway just so (a)I didn't disappoint mum and (b)I could laugh at the funny-ass articles with intros such as, 'Hey friends, let's sing along to the tunes! Lalalalalala...' Aged fourteen, my dad bought me Backstreet Boys and Caught In The Act, but little did he know that I was the mastermind behind the disappearance of his Keiko Matsui and Toto CD's. Most of my close mates were at least three years older and I didn't click with the guys at school. Now 24, I don't think I act 24. I don't act 18. Nor do I act 30. I just got stuck.
I just had the first of many facials. Doesn't it feel good...
And I'm jet-lagged as hell.

aaaarrrrrggghhhhListening to: Ellie Campbell - You're No Good
On a stop-over in Singapore now. Bloody disappointed with its free internet service. Fuckin' slow. And the browser shuts itself every, what, five minutes?
Yeah, I made the right decision to spend the hols home.
You. Look, I'm glad you've come to terms with the fact that I can write anything - yes - ANYTHING I please about you here. It doesn't have to be true. This is my blog. You can make up stuff about me on your own blog if you like.
See you in Jakarta guys.

on my way home I remember only good days...Listening to: Enya - On My Way Home
Here comes my last entry in New Zealand for the year 2007.
Auckers, I'm gonna miss you. Take care, and remember, don't do crack because it whacks your system and I still want to see you alive when I get back! Hahahaha...
Indos, meet up meet up! Not at the new malls please...I get dizzy being at Indo malls now because they're so huge. Yes yes I know I've been away too long.
You know, I hope I'll be able to travel to Boston next. It would be great to head over there while listening to New Kids On The Block during the flight.
Geez I don't know why I've been listening to those guys A LOT MORE than I've had since they disbanded.
I hardly have any appetite nowadays. As I'm typing this entry I'm forcing myself to eat. Not stressed out or anything...it's just that time of year.
