Isyana Adriani Arslan was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 14 1983, making her a Taurean by Western constellation and a Miss Piggy by Chinese. She has a younger brother, Muhammad Rifqi, whom she has been teasing the hell out of since his day one on earth. Isyana is currently embarking on her third year at The University of Auckland, working her ass off on a BA in English Literature and Films, Television, and Media Studies. She is an alumna of The University of Indonesia, from which she earned a diploma in ESL in February 2005. Her passions include writing, photography, web design, graphic design, history, travels, and the list goes on...and no she does not wish to have a nine-to-five job. A fan of hers already?

You. Don't leave me. I like it that you keep an eye on me from afar. That makes you understand me better than do most people. Please. Don't lose sight of me.

Happy 23rd birthday Orchid! When I'm done with uni and on a long break in Indo we have to throw parties for our birthdays!
Ok, I failed Philosophy 105. But you know what, I don't care. That's right. I don't give a damn, which you know is unusual of me. On the other hand though, I got a B- for English 263. This is my second B in GPA thus far and yes I'm to get more! I'll try to squeeze in an A too...
Mum's umpteenth care package is here and this one includes one of her cobalt blue LV Epi Leather! Not sure if it's an Epi Leather anyway, since unlike her I'm no LV fan. But I'm happy to get the bag anyway, because not only is it REAL but it's also a rare, vintage one. Like, how often do you see someone carrying an LV Epi Leather, one of those old LV's that are no longer produced? Most of the time you see girls sporting those LV bags with the colorful LV icons, and most of the time you can tell they're fake. By the way, mum bought the bag I think when it was freshly released (when I was in primary or secondary school) and I just asked her if I could have it to match my cobalt blue Norwegian (or is it Hungarian?)peasant top and oriental earrings and necklace. Next I'm gonna get that pair of really cute cobalt blue Pulp shoes...

Hey you guys how's it going? Me iz doing good, I guess. Exams were done with, and now I'm supposed to be working on my last piece for the English 263 portfolio which is due tomorrow, but you know me and my short attention span...
As of now I'm just done volunteering for Ispace, again. It was amazing how we could finish packing about 400 welcome packs in just a little over an hour. Maybe there were many volunteers today than last time? Last time we pack around the same number of packs for four frikken hours...without a break. And tomorrow there's the Uniguides training at 8:15 AM *yawns* Glad to know lots of people I know are doing Uniguides.
Anyway, I'm also pissed at the moment coz I just found out my latest crush is taken. And man is his girlfriend hot!

birthdays and deathday
RIP Anna Nicole Smith (1967 - 2007). Although lots of people say her death is a good riddance, I feel for her and those left behind (especially her baby daughter) and I'm glad she's now reunited with her son.
Happy belated 25th birthday to Andy (February 7) and 22nd birthday to Caleb (February 9)!

grumpy old woman
'Don't worry Isyana, everyone gets discouraging marks from time to time.'
Yeh, but no one gets discouraging marks ALL THE TIME. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how I stand out.
I did even worse in my second Philosphy test than the first one, and Connie told me I still could pass provided that I got 83% in the exam. I can manage that...I guess. Yea. Hopefully. Would make it easier if you guys are willing to get down on your knees and pray to whatever deity you sell your soul to. Like, pretty pretty please? The exam's on February 13th, mark your calendar.
Yikes. Not doing any other Philosophy paper again! Although Philosphy of Religion looks interesting...
