oh admit it baby oh admit it...Listening to: Tarkan - Sen Baskasin
Of course! He read that and tried to get back at me. Hahahaha. And I let him. Isyana Arslan, how slow you are.
But this is getting interesting. Ready for another round, sugar?

birthday frenzy continued...Listening to: Kiri te Kanawa - O Mio Babbino Caro
Hello there merry lurkers. Just a quick pop before I get back to research/Films essay/English essay/stalking hot guys/whatever. God I definitely still remember the third year madness at The UI. Why, it's only three years ago and my memory stretches far back to the day the dork was spawned. And now here I am for the second round. Clap clap.
Whoah. Hello Joey Russo. Day three of year twenty-four. God doesn't it feel great. You have a claim to the '80s and early '90s and you'd be lying if you say you can't tell that Ne-Yo's Because of You is heavily inspired by Michael Jackson early in his career...a.k.a The King of Pop as a cute black guy. And who's Joey Russo, you ask. Man if you don't know who he is you're a kid. Chances are you're 15. Period.
Oh, and guess what I won a $50 Rebel Sports voucher from this mall Atrium on Eliott! It was one of the Mother's Day draw prizes, and I filled out the form on the last day. I was told I won yesterday, immidiately headed off to the mall to collect the voucher, and spent it on an uber cute grey Puma tee! This is the third voucher I got this month alone. A couple weeks ago I got a $20 voucher from Westfield which I spent on a gorgeous Dolly babydoll tee, and right on my birthday I got another one from Lippy (a 20% discount) but I haven't used that one yet.

24, like the tv showListening to: Let's Dance Together - Melly Goeslaw feat. BBB (you might not agree with me, but I reckon this is one of those songs that are so bad they're good...in a funny kinda way. Go figure!)
EEEK I'M REALLY 24! Hahahahahahhaah...Well technically I'm still 23 until tomorrow at 04:00 AM since I was born at 11:00 PM and Indo is five hours behind. But anyway.
Mum and dad have just called in and instead of giving me wishes or telling me to really start acting like a grown-up as usual they told me...to get a boyfriend and drag him to the altar. Yip. 'Happy birthday, get a boyfriend, and get hitched,' to sum it all up.
But for the record, I'm no longer worried about this tying the knot business. The time will come when it comes, and I don't care how old I'll be by then.
It's awesome to note that contrary to last year when my olds were really the first to wish me a happy birthday and the only people in Kiwiland to do the same were Naim, Irene, and The Napiantos, my parents were preceded by my good mates Jess and Vivian. They're two of my most beloved Kiwi people and of course they won't be the only ones! And this affair, unlike its 2006 predecessor, won't go unnoticed. It's gonna be the best birthday ever! No, make that the first of many. What's the catch? Just sit back, wait, and see...
I have less worries now. Far less if you like. My options are open and I love it that way. So there. Go on, life. Surprise me.
And do you notice something? My long-time readers have already noticed that. There's no birthday layout. I just can't be bothered.

gettin quizzy with it
Hahahaha I guess. The thing is yes I get misunderstood a lot, but heck do I enjoy 'being an island' at times...
You Are 85% Tortured Genius
You totally fit the profile of a tortured genius. You're uniquely brilliant - and completely misunderstood.|
Not like you really want anyone to understand you anyway. You're pretty happy being an island.
Happy belated 21st birthday to Avin, 24th birthday to Denny, and 28th birthday to Celia! Hahahaha man May is a busy month aye...yet our being born Taureans (happy and stubborn with star quality hahahaha) seems to make up for it!Listening to: nothing

shvoongListening to: Beyonce & Shakira - Beautiful Liar
Whoah, only three days before my birthday! Excitement! Hahahahah :)
Check out my first abstract on Shvoong! Type in 'Rouge', 'Stanley Kwan', 'Leslie Cheung', and 'Anita Mui' or any two of those to access it! Or better yet, type in my name (Isyana Arslan) for quicker access. Yes, I've written about the 1987 Hong Kong movie Rogue to spread the fun I had doing FTVMS 205! Hahahaha :) For those I know, I've sent invitations to your mailboxes, so make sure you check them out and reply.
Alright, c'est tout for the moment. Happy belated 28th birthday to James (hahahaha apa sih nggak jelas!)! I hope you had fun mate, and how's the new job coming along?

the ditzy bitch post
Hahahah true...I like being with my dad's side of the family because there I'm always the center of attention, no matter what I do! LOL. And mind you, I never try to draw their attention to me. I guess my ex-model cousin in law is secretly jealous of me because of this, although she's always nice as far as I'm concerned.
You Are a Drama Princess (or Prince)
You're not over the top dramatic, but you have your moments.|
You know how to steal the spotlight...
And how to act out to get your way.
People around you know that you're good for a laugh.
But at times, your drama gets a bit too much for everyone.
Tone it down a tad, and you'll still be the center of attention.
And man oh man do I like doing my little tried-and-true trick to get all eyes on me. I've been doing this since I was seven (methinks) and trust me I'm a pro...Did it not long ago, he was there, and I had a feeling he knew what I was actually doing because he just gave a little laugh and left. I was pissed at first, but then I was amused because I felt he knew what I was doing, and if he did that would mean he knows what I'm really like. And if that's true it would be really cool, since we hardly talk to one another (but he reads my blog - word. Hello baby!) Thus far the only one who knows my little trick is just a trick is my ex chaffeur. I told him it was a trick, otherwise he wouldn't have figured it out himself...
On another note, I had my first ever ambulance ride last night! That was fun!Listening to: nothing

the joys of getting older...Listening to: nothing
As I was lying awake trying to sleep, one thing struck me like a lightning. One more thing I like about getting older. I'm closer to finding The One. I mean, come on. God can't let me wait so long! LOL :)
There's this guy that I've been feeling so strongly about, and I've really never felt this kind of feeling before about any other guy. He's been around for quite a while. Whenever I have a feeling I'll meet him, I really do meet him. Most of the time, I can tell if he's not telling the truth and he can tell I don't take his word, although we might not be face to face. Hahahahaha. That's not proof enough is it? But still he's my Prince Charming and one day he'll be a proper Prince Charming and we'll ride into the setting sun...

final fortnight of my 23rd yearTo my friends in Auckland and Jakarta. You are my world.
Only two weeks before the end of my early twenties. I'm a bit scared, yes, but I'm more excited than scared. As I said earlier, I have no idea what lies ahead of me. The best part, so far, is the looking back. It's a real hoot to look back and cringe and laugh and cry and shake your head at what you've done over the years.
It was funny the way I dresseed back then. It was funny the way I handled boys. It was funny the way I worried about things that turned out to be fine. But these girls - the infant, the kid, the teeny bopper, the confused twentysomething - are those without whom I wouldn't be where I am now.
I'm happy. I'm happy to get older. I'm happy to open my eyes wider. I'm happy to change - with baby steps - for the better. I'm happy - and people say it shows.
To Jakarta and Auckland. Forever my temptresses.Happy 25th birthday Andreas! And happy 21st birthday to Jean! I miss my two Taurean siblings oh so dearly!Listening to: nothing

The picture was taken by yours truly in Northhead, Davenport, on April 21 2007 using a Nikon D70 belonging to The University of Auckland's Photography Society. As usual, the layout was coded by me and other images except the ones for fanlistings, cliques, and quizzes were created by me as well using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Don't steal.
